Purchases
Restore Pro
Settings → Restore Purchases. Works on any device with the same store account.
Controls
Touch or tilt
Settings → Controls. Sensitivity is on the same screen.
Riding
How do I actually ride?
Drag anywhere on the screen to carve. The further you drag from where you first touched, the harder the turn. Tap to jump.
You do not need to touch the rider itself — the whole screen is the control. Most people ride with a thumb resting near the bottom edge.
How do I go further and score more?
- Speed is everything. Long, smooth arcs down the fall line hold speed; sharp panic turns kill it.
- Jump off natural lips rather than flat ground — you keep more speed on the landing.
- Land pointing downhill. Landing sideways scrubs speed even if you stay up.
- Read ahead, not under your board. Look at the top of the screen and your line plans itself.
- Trees and rocks come in bands. Pick a gap early and commit to it.
Should I use touch or tilt?
Touch is the default and is the more precise of the two. Tilt suits you if you like leaning the device and want the screen clear of your thumb.
Switch in Settings → Controls. Tilt calibrates to however you are holding the device when the run starts, so get comfortable before you drop in.
What does the sensitivity slider do?
It sets how much turn you get from the same input. 1.00× is the default.
- Lower it if you feel twitchy and keep over-turning.
- Raise it if you cannot get the board around fast enough in trees.
Change it by small steps and ride a few runs before deciding.
Multiplayer and leaderboards
How does riding with other people work?
Tap Ride and you join the next group heading up. A timer counts down while other riders drop in, and you will see how many are in the session. When the timer ends, everyone drops onto the same mountain at the same time.
If nobody else joins, you ride solo. Nothing is lost — your score and distance still count for the day.
Why is my score not showing on the board?
- Check you are signed in to Game Center: device Settings → Game Center.
- Make sure the device is online — scores queue offline and post later.
- Boards refresh on a short delay. Leave the board screen and come back.
- Only your best run of the day appears on the daily board, not every run.
Can I change the name shown on the leaderboard?
That name is your Game Center alias, not something DriftPeak sets. Change it in device Settings → Game Center → your profile. The new alias shows on the boards after your next posted score.
When do the daily boards reset?
The daily top 100 resets at midnight. Your all-time personal best is never reset by the daily rollover.
Someone has an impossible score. What now?
Email us with the alias and the score and we will look at the run data. Scores we can confirm were not ridden on an unmodified app get removed from the board.
Pro and purchases
What is in DriftPeak Pro?
- All Pro riders — Ember, Dusk and Saffron
- All Pro boards — Copper, Jade and Coral
- No ads
- Full run history and detailed statistics
- Early access to new terrain
- Priority replies from support
Pro is $0.29 a week or $5.99 a year. It is cosmetic and convenience only — it will not make you faster or move you up the board.
I paid but Pro did not unlock
- Fully close and reopen the app.
- Tap Settings → Restore Purchases.
- Check you are signed into the store account you bought with.
- Wait a few minutes — store confirmations can lag.
Still nothing? Email us with the receipt from the store and we will sort it out.
How do I cancel?
- iOS: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → DriftPeak → Cancel Subscription.
- Android: Play Store → Menu → Subscriptions → DriftPeak → Cancel Subscription.
Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Progress and troubleshooting
My riders, boards or bests disappeared
- Check you are signed into the same iCloud or Google account.
- Turn on cloud sync in Settings and give it a moment to pull down.
- Tap Restore Purchases if the Pro items are the ones missing.
- Check you did not tap Reset Progress in Settings.
If it is still gone, email us before reinstalling.
Does my progress follow me between devices?
- iOS: same iCloud account on both devices.
- Android: same Google Play Games account.
- Cloud sync turned on in Settings, and both devices online.
The game stutters or drops frames
- Close background apps and restart DriftPeak.
- Update to the latest app version.
- Free up storage space on the device.
- Turn off Low Power Mode — it caps the frame rate.
- Restart the device if it persists.
If it only happens in multiplayer, it is usually the connection rather than the device — try Wi-Fi.
How do I turn off sound, or reset everything?
Sound effects and music each have their own toggle in Settings. Volume follows your device's volume buttons.
To start over, Settings → Reset Progress. This clears your bests, stats and unlocked cosmetics on the device and cannot be undone. Your Pro subscription is not affected — restore it with Restore Purchases.
